I've been on the island since '98, working as a teacher both at Spring Street and at the public schools. I tutor, take photos of the kids' best efforts and participate in periodical Community Theatre productions myself. I shoot senior portraits, family events, town events, you name it. From 2007 through 2008, I was the arts/health/education reporter and photographer for the Journal of the San Juan Islands.

Summer of 2011 finds me packing my truck up again and heading back to Alaska to teach. If there's no opportunity for me to participate in and document the performing arts, I'll make one! Wish me luck with my next adventure.
